A lecture by Peter Smith, Director of the Wildwood Trust. Peter will talk about the history of rewilding in Britain, the many efforts of people over the last 100 years who tried to rewild and the problems they faced. He will also discuss the fundamental problems faced by nature and the fundamental remedies that will allow rewilding and human progress. Peter has dedicated his career to promoting rewilding and understanding the problems that rewilding faces. A forensic examination of the economic and cultural issues surrounding rewilding has been his passion, getting to grips with the fundamental forces that are destroying nature and what is the most efficient way we can reverse the depletion and dilapidation of our land, that will allow economic and environmental prosperity for all.
